Hello everyone,

we forgot to include the outdoor water tap in the special equipment list.

Now we had the idea to simply use/divert the water connection in the kitchen and have it installed on the outer wall. The question that arises for me is whether it is that simple?

From the water connection to the outer wall it is about max. 2.5m. The distance would therefore be quite short. The wall itself is a 12.5cm lime sand brick + 22cm insulation + plaster.

I was thinking of laying a hose in the kitchen and installing a separate valve there so that the branch can be closed in winter.

I am very grateful for some ideas.

Frost-proof fittings is what it's called. I also tapped a line from the bathroom to the outside afterwards at our place.

What did the fun cost? With return or one way only?

Approximately 2 meters of Viega piping + pressing tool, drilling a hole through about 30cm of concrete + 2 hours of work + Kemper frost valve.

280 euros + VAT

The basement was still a shell when we were there, so I only had to open a drywall.

Return flow? For what?

Morning

theoretically, this is possible.
it will likely fail due to the sizing of the supply line.

You mean that the supply line in the kitchen will be too small?
