Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my Ikea combination of Godmorgon base cabinet and Braviken washbasin. For me, the water always runs towards the wall, or it collects in the rear area where the washbasin meets the tiles. After a few months, I already have mold there. In addition, water runs down the side of the washbasin. The thing is a complete design flaw and I am considering ripping it out. However, it cost me quite a bit and visually I basically find the washbasin okay. Does anyone have an idea how I can get a handle on the problem? I have attached a few photos. The washbasin is basically level with water, but seems to tilt slightly backwards on the left. Which actually doesn’t make sense, since it rests on the base cabinet and this is flush against the wall. It can only be that the wall is not completely plumb? Tilting it forward is probably not possible and attaching something at the back is probably pointless. Does anyone know this problem and can anyone imagine what might be done here?

You have a spirit level. Then there should be no "?" at the end of the sentence.

Ikea are not watchmakers. A few mm in the wall, a few mm crooked screws, a few mm manufacturer tolerance and you get your damage pattern.
(I am amazed that with the high manufacturer tolerance in the ceramic area water still drains from the sink at all, I vaguely recall a few %)

Dismantle, re-adjust. And if in doubt, a new base cabinet.

No, they are not. But water still shouldn't run down. I just checked on the product page. The problem seems to be known. Of course, it's annoying. Maybe I can still exchange it. There is another model that is apparently supposed to be better.

Have two Godmorgon, one Odensvik, one Rätviken. No problems of your kind with either.

That's exactly what I looked at now. Did I see it correctly in the photo that it goes slightly upward on the side and back, or that it has a slight bulge around it?

If I remove the washbasin. It is glued to the cabinet with silicone. Can it be glued again with silicone afterwards without any problems? Silicone does not adhere to silicone.
