Very sad matter!
What was the colleague at the counter thinking?! Of course, it would have been right to point out the signs on the shelf, but simply dismissing the customer afterward is simply rude.
Maverick hit the nail on the head. It just can’t go like this.
To speak up for the employees at customer service. Normally, the employees there strive to help the customer, but NATURALLY also point out mistakes. This was done, but no more. It just happens that a wrong package is on the shelf and is mistakenly taken, we are all only human, this should be exchanged in an unbureaucratic way and that’s it. I can only imagine that maybe a new employee was "let loose on humanity too early," was overwhelmed by the situation, and no existing colleagues were nearby to help. Although that is no excuse either.
Although I am not at the Oldenburger Haus, I still want to apologize for this kind of behavior. Simply embarrassing...
