yes, but you have to remove it very, very thoroughly beforehand.

Slightly. I would say about a millimeter. I wouldn’t call it a bulge either, but a curved edge. Apparently, it prevents water from dripping down there quite well...

Next to every washbasin hangs a cloth (Geschirrtuch) discreetly. Everyone who washes themselves then briefly wipes the ceramic and faucet with it. This way, everything is always dry and nicely clean. This process has now become so much second nature to us that it doesn’t require any effort at all.

With us, the hand towel is taken very noticeably for drying ;)

A proper ceramic is supposed to clean itself or not get dirty in the first place!! Cloth or no cloth :p No, seriously. I do a thorough cleaning every few weeks, otherwise not at all. It doesn’t always have to shine and sparkle, don’t you have anything better to do ;) ?

Wrongly understood! The water is wiped away, so you don't have to clean excessively "properly" ;)
