what do you mean by having walls and ceilings plastered?

Do you mean simply plastering and sanding flat similar to Q4?

Why would you definitely choose this again?

What problems are there with it now?

We built a house in 2018 (fully basemented), ground floor Poroton with lime plaster, upper floor interior walls double-planked drywall. All walls painted directly, so far no settlement cracks have appeared.

Best regards
Harald

Ok

How important is it to use diffusion-open (breathable) materials?
For sand-lime brick walls? Can sand-lime brick even regulate moisture in the room if the walls are diffusion-open?

What would you recommend more? Completely smooth or slightly rough, slightly textured with fine to medium grain?

What do you think of clay plaster? I believe the material clay is not bad at all.
How is it applied? Probably only as a brush plaster, right?
Is it probably very difficult for laypeople to do?

Brief note on non-woven woodchip wallpaper compared to regular non-woven wallpaper: This woodchip also masks unevenness and color differences well since you paint over it afterwards. You also save the step of applying wallpaper primer beforehand… but: the advantage of non-woven wallpaper, which can be quickly cut to size with a cutter, is not given. The woodchip tends to tear easily. Usually, you don’t see it after painting, but sometimes you do. Based on experience after wallpapering 150 sqm of living space… after 2 rooms I switched to regular non-woven wallpaper, which also comes off better :)

thank you very much for the experience. So fleece textured wallpaper is not recommended.

If fleece wallpaper, then painter's fleece?
Can you recommend a good brand for painter's fleece?

There is also rough fleece from Brillux, probably the same as the fleece textured wallpaper from Erfurt
