Ventilation system extreme chimney smell

The fundamental problem here is probably the neighbor's firing. Normally, when lighting a fire, smoke is produced, but after a few minutes at the latest, hardly any smoke should leave the chimney. Annoying for you, of course, but hopefully the neighbor will still learn the proper "firing" and not "smoking out".

The neighbor's house is an apartment building about 15 years old. The only neighbor who also operates a stove is the one on the ground floor. An external stainless steel chimney was retrofitted here, which is actually already very high and extends up to the roof. That's why I'm so surprised that our ventilation system pulls the smoke in so much.
Is there a possibility with the Tecalor to basically turn off the ventilation, for example, between 5 pm and 8 pm and then turn it back on at 8 pm?
We are not at home at this time every time, so I could manually turn off the ventilation? And the risk that I forget to turn the ventilation back on is also too high for me.

Just ask Tecalor what solutions they see (control, filter, sensors...).. they surely don't want their customers to be completely unhappy.

If you can already see visually that it is smoking extremely, the problem is probably with the neighbor rather than with you. You should politely address this with him and ask him to please burn proper wood. If he is uncooperative, the only option is to document it with photos and inform the public order office and the chimney sweep. Such environmental pollution really doesn't have to happen, regardless of your ventilation system...

we also have a Tecalor system in the basement - you can deactivate the controlled residential ventilation for individually defined periods by you - this is programmable.

However, as already mentioned several times, I would first talk to the neighbor about your problem. Something is seriously wrong there, either with the operation of the stove or with the materials being burned.

If the conversation with the neighbor actually does not bring any improvement, I would also approach the public order office and the district chimney sweep master and describe the problems there.

Just wanted to give an update. I have talked to the neighbors by now, but they definitely do not burn wet wood.
But we still have the same problem every evening.
The company Tecalor has no solution; there are no special filters for that.
Even with a completely new filter, I can no longer get rid of the soot smell in the ventilation system. When standing above the floor outlet, the air still smells like smoke even though a) the stove is not being fired and b) the filter is brand new.

Are there any other filters at Tecalor besides the 2 filters that can be replaced? Or how can I get the system clean again?
