Hello everyone,

this topic has been on my mind for quite some time and I am not sure how we should best set the priorities, since many great things are possible, but unfortunately also come with corresponding costs.

The house will definitely get an electric garage door as well as electric shutters, which is initially nothing special. The topics of sound insulation and burglary protection are very important to us due to our property location (edge location directly adjacent to a railway line).

For the windows, we will choose a model with greater installation depth (82mm) at an additional cost, everywhere protection class RC2-N as well as aluminum shutters. There should be a foil system that prevents easy breaking of panes, we are also thinking about that. In our offer for the trade "windows" an additional item appears: "High-Control magnetic contact for electrical monitoring." Can someone tell me what that means? I have heard that there are systems which automatically lock everything/down when a pane is shaken or broken.

Shutters can be time-controlled, but I do not find it particularly convenient to go to the switch at each window or to "program" each one individually. Is it possible to install a central switch to, for example, "program" all the shutters on the ground floor or to raise/lower them with one action?

Furthermore, we have decided on a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery. Here too I wonder what control options make sense. One panel per floor?

Then there is the topic of the front door, specifically the "automatic/electrical locks." Can someone explain additional costs and added value? Unfortunately, this could not be offered to us.

Thanks and regards

Hello,

Why this decision?

You probably mean certified RC 2 or higher?

Of course.

Rhenish regards

As for the roller shutters, my thoughts are that they are of higher quality, look better, are more stable, and safer. And they are thermally insulated (no idea if that matters).

The offer states RC 2 N. 6-12 security locking pieces, lift protection, drill protection, lockable security olive. The matter with the foil is a separate issue that we would source separately.

Greetings back!

Yes, we have a central control per floor with astro function. You can set it so that the roller shutters are controlled according to sunrise/sunset, or at a fixed time.

I find that very practical. Disadvantage: Each timer has to be programmed individually.

Here, too, I recommend the 2 panels. Unfortunately, we only have one on the ground floor. However, we only use the control panel to switch on the ventilation function. The rest we do via the web interface of the controlled residential ventilation system.

That only means that a magnetic contact is installed, so you can then see whether the window is open or closed. Alternatively, you could connect it to an alarm system.

Shutters can either be controlled via a cable system (which becomes expensive without the electrician's corresponding knowledge) or simply via radio motors and an appropriate radio control including astro function, etc.

Which controlled residential ventilation system is being installed? Sometimes only one control panel is possible due to system constraints... and with the current models with a web server, much can also be controlled via PC/tablet/phone.

Then one could also agree on RC2 (without the "N") right away. At least you can compare the prices with the films.
