Thanks, Hampshire!

What is the approximate figure in terms of costs for the following overall:
- Builder's liability insurance,
- Fire-shell insurance/residential building insurance,
- Construction all-risk insurance,
- Accident insurance for construction helpers,
- Liability insurance for undeveloped land?

Maybe included in your contract as a so-called "builder's protection letter"?

- Construction site porta-potty?
- Entrance platform?
- some also calculate with a "crane parking space" (approx. 900 EUR). But in our case, it was located on our future garage spot, which we prepared together with the house beforehand.

Construction helper insurance will be handled later by the BG Bau. I think you can expect about 1.5 EUR per helper per hour?

Isn't there a thread about this in the forum?

Splash protection around the house 2000 Building water/electricity rather 2000 Surveying costs 3000 Permits 1500 Entrance platform 2000 The mentioned surcharge confuses me. Are you building with an architect or a general contractor? If the latter, then earthworks 10000, rainwater cistern 5000, electrical upgrades 3000 and more are missing.

No, unfortunately we don’t have a builder protection letter or similar. Construction site porta-potty and entrance platform are included, crane parking space is not; I will address that directly tomorrow. Thanks for the tip! I will look into the construction helper insurance here again.

Thanks, ypg!

Is such splash protection always necessary or not included in a turnkey house?

We only planned with an architect, building with a general contractor. We raised the earthworks again by EUR 10k during the negotiation process, after soil surveys, inspections, etc. We already included electrical work above the "normal standard" in the general contractor’s offer, that should be fine.

Regarding the rainwater cistern: we decided against it.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
