Upper floor too low, is insulation possible without loss of room height?

Yes, actually everything fit and we didn’t do anything wrong (the seller also said so again). But that doesn’t make things any easier.. I will now search less intensively and focus on other things for the time being.

I'll just take this thread now because I can't/won't open a new thematically appropriate one yet.

After this rejection really killed my motivation, I shifted my focus and looked for a dog. After almost 40 years with dogs, somehow I can't do without anymore...
On December 3rd we picked up the little one in the evening and on the way there there was an email from the online presence of the daily newspaper that a new offer had come in. I immediately contacted the broker. My husband called Monday morning and arranged a viewing for the afternoon. On Tuesday we said yes and next Monday the application goes to the bank.
We're not exactly euphoric yet, anything can still happen. The house is in good shape, built in 1930, all the major work has been done in recent years (roof, windows including shutters, bathrooms, heating). Plot with carport and shed. Everything fits so far. The layout is a bit suboptimal, but no obstacle.
The previous owner has to sell due to serious illness and has a caretaker who takes care of things. But since it is an experienced real estate agency and an official appraisal was made in advance, all parties expect a smooth process.

It's crazy how quickly things can suddenly happen. A dog and a house in one week.

You’re only buying half a house anyway ;) Joking aside: what kind of place is that? Will it stay like that? :D I want a dog too, but none seem to fit.

By the way, my colleague told me that they sold the house from his father-in-law, outskirts of Lübeck... 70sqm on 2 levels, more stairs than steps right at the entrance (like a real wooden staircase with entrance contact), bathroom off the bedroom, more like a hole… valuation was at 70,000. It was sold for 130,000. The land is leasehold, which is expiring soon. The buyer bought that as well. ... It’s not a bargain, just to get hold of a piece of land.

Do you have photos of the house?

Oh man, now I missed the picture... : I can absolutely recommend Pudfel, but only if you are home a lot or can take them to work. Because they are really very affectionate and do not like to be left alone at all.
