Upper floor too low, is insulation possible without loss of room height?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the contract award! The old porch roof was really nice.

Thanks, we can use that. The feeling is quite good (especially since we could still add more), but you never know...

This waiting is really bad for me. I have a lot of things swirling around in my head regarding the renovation and I can't switch them off. Somehow it happens almost every time: you worry about it and then nothing comes of it.
Well, some things repeat themselves and you don't get any dumber, but actually I still have plenty of other things I can take care of right now.

Is that normal? Or really a matter of personality?

Hello SumsumBiene, I believe this is quite normal with such a serious decision. That is why house hunting is also something that is extremely draining and should not be done for too long with high intensity. Good luck!

This morning he called and told us that the others got the contract :( Same offer, but they were the first. The price remains the same, he doesn't want to drive it up with a bidding process. So once again we come away empty-handed and the mood here is of course very low with everyone (quote daughter "I hate all house sellers.")

I am very sorry. That would surely have turned out well. Best of luck going forward!

Oh, such a mess! This is such misery. That sounded so good.
