Upper floor too low, is insulation possible without loss of room height?

? don’t understand it

sounds like it doesn’t fit you. What will be expensive. If you can afford it and you may, then just raise the roof structure

Dear ones, that sounds so easy to say – with a construction year around 1930 I have a big question mark as to whether the roof truss structure will cooperate. I can think of several that don’t, and were quite popular back then.

This will probably be the case here too. The beaver tail tiles were probably chosen because they are light enough. The carpenter said that the construction is indeed in good condition but not strong enough for tiles.

I would not want to write off the house immediately because many points fit, and in a slow-paced 10 years our daughter will probably have moved out already, so that upstairs we might really only need office/storage space.

If you remove the ceiling directly and then practically have an open space upwards, it wouldn't be so oppressive.... That is my idea about it.

Which professional should I best consult for something like this? Is an energy consultant already the right contact?

I would have asked an expert Only if the roof frame is not suitable for other tiles does it still carry insulation. That also weighs something

Without a complete renovation, I don't see it as usable. Every basement is more cozy than that.

Pretty little house. I would also rather see if it would be possible to create an extension sensibly on the ground floor through an annex.
