We have these bricks and I would definitely choose sand-lime bricks for the interior walls next time and the exterior bricks filled .... e.g. with mineral wool ... but it depends on how sensitive you are and it also costs money, our general contractor wanted 7000 euros just for filled exterior bricks ... so TV really isn’t a problem, not even with a home cinema. And even more so, nothing transfers through the exterior wall ..... but you’ll hear the teenager’s music ... if you decide on regular interior bricks then especially be careful with the bathrooms that the walls are thick enough and, if possible, the pipes from the toilet etc. are not adjacent to the kid’s room or something like that ... otherwise you’ll wake the little one ... With a 24 cm wall and insulated pipes, though, no problem even with bricks ... But the overall concept is important ... then with CPL doors for the interior or windows with poor sound insulation you haven’t gained anything either .... everything has to fit together

also have hollow bricks and am not enthusiastic at all. Simple test: knock on the HOHLkammer bricks and, for comparison, on filled bricks. A huge difference. With the hollow chamber bricks, a key at the outside water tap that rattles in the wind can already be heard inside the house. That sensitive are they!

Nevertheless, many build with them, but lemmings also jump in groups...

A few basic things if sound protection is important to you.

Plan rooms so that a child's room is never next to the bedroom.

If controlled residential ventilation, then transfer opening in the frame or directly closed and exhaust air duct per room.

Empty conduits insulated, etc.

And my next house will be made of [Kalksandstein], although many then have something against the thermal insulation.

Is [Kalksandstein] with clinker possible without [WDVS]?

Just take a look at sound insulation measures and then choose something where everything fits together...

I don't really like ETICS either, I just don't like it... therefore bricks filled with perlite or mineral wool, but that's not so environmentally friendly either...

I am very sensitive to annoying noises but for us, the weak point is first the windows before the bricks would even come into play...

I can only recommend solid core doors... mega...
