ok, right, I had estimated the dimensions incorrectly or didn’t categorize the carport properly...

Is there enough space by the trash bins (or what are the colorful dots in the corner by the utility room door?), that looks a bit tight to me? And then through the carport to the street? Ok, 6m is enough for two cars plus trash bin :)

I think the kids’ bathroom is a good idea, especially regarding the teen visits of friends mentioned by the previous speaker! What do you think about an en-suite bathroom in the middle between the two kids’ rooms?

Yes, I have one more - where is the (Handtuch-) radiator in the upstairs bathroom? I do like being able to grab the warm towel right after coming out of the shower, but the space between the shower and the window seems rather tight for that?

Wow... so much feedback!

Correct, the niche should be a small wardrobe. However, we are also considering possibly utilizing the space under the stairs. But thanks for your idea Jochen, I will discuss it again with my wife.

Yes, the kitchen. It really gave us a lot to think about, placing it so that it meets the desired space requirements and yet does not seem too dark. Regarding the rotation, that’s a good idea, we will try it out this evening. Thanks.

We already mentioned that to our general contractor, and we agree.

That will be solved by the problem mentioned above. The shift will then create the space so that the towel radiator can be placed near the shower.

Correct and nicely put ;)

Our house is not completely fictional, but is based on one or another model house.
There was a kids’ bathroom there. However, we find it unnecessary and have therefore preferred to choose an open space.
We did not want an en-suite solution (whether bathroom or dressing room) so that you can get ready undisturbed without disturbing the one still sleeping.

great thing, I really like it, and it makes sense here (no basement) as well!
uh, but the wall doesn’t get bigger towards the window, right, or do you want to place the towel radiator basically "in" the shower entrance/pass-through? That could work if there is enough width – but on the right side I quite like the somewhat visually protected toilet too – especially since there is only one toilet planned for four people...
ok, up to you :)
I was thinking of one bathroom between the bedrooms on the children's side – everyone has "their" door, but the bathroom is used jointly... Before later having to use the downstairs shower because it gets crowded upstairs... And if you properly seal the doors (similar to the utility room door ;)) I can imagine that it works relatively "noise-neutral"?! We definitely have such a bathroom (between two bedrooms) on the list as an idea...

In a bathroom with two doors, the children must not be shy. Or they must always remember to unlock both doors again.

that can be solved relatively simply electronically :)
