Underneath the carport?

Having a separate basement for the bicycles is of course over the top... especially who wants to always carry their bike out of the basement?

However, a basement might not be entirely unwise for you... 110m2 of living space is not exactly generous... especially if you lose a room for the technology and as storage space or for the washing machine, etc... it might still be fine for two, but what about children?

With four people, a 110m² house without a basement becomes very "cozy".

Wheels in the carport in winter... I don't know... I'm a bit spoiled because of our rental house... Yes, there are 2 children. I think then we would need a basement... how much would that cost then?

A basement would probably cause additional costs of 20,000-40,000 depending on the insulation and whether it should/must be waterproof...

Of course, you could also build around 140m² instead of 110 and skip the basement... might be a bit cheaper... depends on personal needs and how big you can/may build...

Personally, I would rather build 130 with a basement than 160 without...

Hello,

If the basement is to serve purely as storage space, it is a very expensive storage room. If it is only meant to be a dry shelter for bicycles and possibly a lawn mower, a prefabricated garage 3 x 9 would be suitable. Prefabricated garage but only if no access from the garage to the house is planned! Cost for prefabricated garage incl. sectional door approx. €11,000 including necessary strip foundations, for a masonry garage with basement and also sectional door approx. €3,000-4,000 more.

And one more addition: for 110 sqm living space the offered price is also not accurate, €155,000 is realistic; usable basement approx. €35,000 plus additional construction costs as listed.

Kind regards

Good, then all that together with a basement and carport would be well over €300,000. I think that is too expensive for me. I could maybe accept €240,000 to €260,000, but I think I would need so much equity at 25%, around €75,000 upwards, that you can’t really get anywhere in life anymore. If you consider that saving a lot and paying rent at the same time are not the best friends. Or you just pay €1400-€1600 for the loan, but that’s not bad either.
