Please first read up on topics like PpUGV and PpSG before theorizing any theses. The changes have been in effect since 2020.

I'm not saying your entire text is nonsense, but it is only half true.

We have already had three tornadoes in our small town since we built in 2014. Two of them were direct hits, one just missed. Really crazy. The worst was the one that just missed. I saw it, the emergency control center was hilarious “no no please tell me the street and house number” of course I explained that they won’t get there anyway because there will be trees and roof tiles on the streets. In vain; I then gave some number and main street so they would finally send people xD Well, we also already had a lightning strike on the solar system. Pretty nice here

That is a good attitude.
The fact is, simply misjudges many facts or their context.
The fact is, his killer argument is either "My wife is a teacher, therefore .." or "I know many (professional group X/Y), therefore ..".
The fact is, he quite likes to use the unfortunately often factually wrong sentence beginning "The fact is .." to then sell his gut feeling as fact. I believe he does this unconsciously and actually believes it. Luckily, as a controller, he deals with numbers instead of people. That's a fact. ;)

Gut feeling? PpUGV and PpSG are not gut feelings, but facts. All hospitals must now pay the TVöD tariff in nursing. They are not allowed to pay more because it is not refinanced. Just for your information. Salaries in nursing are paid from the contributions of the insured people. If now all nurses were to receive, for example, €5,000 net, contributions would rise significantly and then I want to see how the same people complain about the increase in contributions. Meanwhile, a specialist nurse earns approximately €3,000 gross + bonuses for weekend shifts, night shifts, further training, etc. With all due respect for the job, it is a normal vocational training in Germany and no academic degree is required. Many focus on nurses as the prime example. But what about the cleaning staff, therapists, etc.? They earn significantly less and without them the nurses could not do their work...

Which brings us back to the edge of the hospital. The pay for very, very many nurses in this country is still poor and no, not every one of them can just start working in a hospital. Otherwise, the entire huge branch of outpatient care, which is extremely important, would also collapse. However, this is again quite far from tornadoes somehow...
