But then it gets dark in the hallway.
My second photo (the long hallway) is only "bright" because the overhead lighting is on.
So my tip: plan doors with glass, including room doors, and/or wall outlets for LED lighting in the hallway :)

Off Topic: who had a hand in this design?
Hardly any reasonable cloakroom space, garage half a mile from the entrance/side entrance, wrong door swing in the bathroom, staircase with a tripping hazard on the first step, living room not easy to furnish (TV clashes with dining table, zoning missing), bathroom door very narrow...

Thanks, the thing with the artificial light is clear already. That's just how it is. The plan is a total work of art made by us and the contractor. Garage... well, that will rather be my workshop/garden shed. Since when do cars stay inside? They're not made for that. Almost all doors are 98. Except for the guest WC, the hinge doesn't matter. You take the left hand and open them. Wardrobe, well—sacrifices must be made. Under the stairs...Everything really fits in the living room. Our current one is no different; it also has a round couch, table, Ikea wall unit Billy, TV in it. I see zero problem there. Especially since 99% of the time eating happens in the kitchen anyway. It has a table. There are two of us. The children are grown up.
