I googled the tile once: we first chose it for the bathroom :) I like it, for us it also seemed nicely resistant because of the design: texture and reflection, you don't see everything on it right away :) I spontaneously thought when I saw the closed house: no, better not. After all, there is a difference whether you have a hallway 2/3 meters wide, in which glass, double or no doors lead to the light-flooded living areas or the house is very closed off through separate rooms, normal sill-height windows, etc. If it is a bungalow, life takes place on one level, so it can be that the room doors are closed, thus the hallway hardly gets any natural light. but: then I remembered a bungalow that I photographed just last year in winter... so you can decide whether it looks dark :) P.s. I deleted your personal data (pdf) and instead uploaded a png.

I can well imagine that you might not like a tile like that anymore after a short time. (Just my opinion)

Reminds me, as portrayed in the pictures, of the worst 70s charm

I also don't like the diagonal pattern. I like the tile itself; we have a similar one in the bathroom as a floor tile. Ours is called "Venis Ferroker," which maybe has a bit more rust content, and the dark part leans more towards black.

Our neighbors have Star Galaxy granite in the hallway, which is apparently very trendy. It also looks chic in combination with white walls and doors. I think the color doesn't suit dark floors as much.

Thanks to you for the photos. Yes, it can work. The tile we have is 60 by 30, so not square. Regarding yps's question about the staircase. It goes to the attic. It’s more comfortable than a floor hatch if you want to store something up there. The attic will get a window and a simple wooden floor so that it can serve as a basement replacement. Whether I go up or down the stairs to get or take something away doesn’t really matter in the end. I think we will fix the tile. By the way, doors versus open living. She watches hospital series, I listen to Led Zeppelin. Having the door closed is then not wrong.
