Yes, the garage is allowed to be placed there, it was approved by the city :)

Regarding the building encumbrance, I will inquire.

There are no easements.

We have already been to the neighbor, he knows about it. I just wanted to find out how it looks, because if the garage is removed from there, the gravel lying against the garage will no longer stay there :D

A neighboring garage is by no means a proper edge protection for a terrace. Normally, curbstones are concreted in there. If he hasn't done that, it's entirely his problem. Did he at least put some protective foil on your garage or just piled gravel against it?

I do not see the problem. He knows the [G.] is going away. Now he has time to set curbstones. Or he lets the gravel flow and secures it once the [G.] is gone. Please tell him when she is going away so he can prepare for it.

You don't have to make a big deal out of it. The garage was there... the neighbor wanted a seating option. Or the other way around. Chicken or egg? Gravel surfacing is a legitimate area that can be temporarily changed. I would have also saved on a concrete border if there is a wall from the neighbor or garage there. If there had been soil or a flower bed there, a concrete border wouldn't have been necessary either. Then some stones will just fall off – the neighbor can still border them later. Best regards, Yvonne

The garage was there first, but it doesn’t really matter ;)

The neighbor knows the garage will be moved, I think he’ll know what to do then. As soon as we have an exact date, we will tell the neighbor exactly when.

It was basically just to hear what’s going on, so that if we move it and his gravel/terrace slides, we don’t have a problem. Oh, and by the way, there’s no construction encumbrance either.

Thank you all!

In the picture, you can't see any slope that would cause something to slide (?)
