So they said that the house itself is completely autonomous. There are also no shared insurances or service charges or anything like that. This was done because the developer at the time did not actually divide the plots (at least that's how I understood it). Basically, that's okay with me as long as it doesn't bring any further disadvantages. I think such a thing could maybe have disadvantages when reselling at some point. What bothers me a bit is that although a carport and a parking space are included (both facing the street), there is, for example, no bicycle storage facility. You might have to build a bicycle garage or something like that, possibly on the parking space. I don't just want to leave my e-bike on the street. One thing I don't like so much is the staircase. I wonder if it can be better secured (see photo), since it goes all the way down from the 2nd floor to the basement.

Very nice. What else do you want to secure there? A staircase is a staircase.

Condominiums without a professional administrator are, to my knowledge, still possible with three residential units. Otherwise, we had a thread here specifically on the topic of individual bicycle sheds at a condominium terraced house, I believe in 2018.

We also had a staircase like that in the mid-terrace house. The eye was the laundry chute, with a basket at the bottom. When the children were small, we had Ikea stair gates for a short time; the children quickly got the hang of the stairs safely. With the undivided property, I would do it as suggested by : get an impression and, if necessary, ask the one with the garden house.

yes, these are 3 residential units. @everyone it does seem that the neighbors generally work well together or at least it seems that way. You never really know how it is when you join as a newcomer. What already favors me is that one neighbor is a piano teacher. That is of course practical because of the kids and since I make music myself, there might already be a certain tolerance here :). The only downside is that the neighbors themselves no longer have children or only grown-up children. But apparently there are some in the neighborhood. Regarding the staircase I was a bit worried because of the eye. It just looks so high. If we take it or get it, I might consider hanging a net around it from the ceiling and letting something climb up. The idea came to me this morning. The staircase seems to be floating connected to the wall by metal rods. Is there anything to consider here? Does the material get tired or stressed over time? Thanks and regards Hubi
