Be sure to consider the wood stove in the system's dimensioning and heating curve. Potentially, it disturbs controlled systems more than it helps. But it is doable and creates a great living atmosphere. Many find underfloor heating very pleasant and comfortable. However, it has little to do with radiant heat; there is no significant infrared component, and precisely that gives the pleasant sensation on the skin. Radiant heat only comes from hot heat sources. That does not make underfloor heating bad. If you don't want underfloor heating, there is also the alternative to integrate heating into the walls. Some have experience with that as well.

We are also installing a wood burning stove. We were at the stove maker’s a few weeks ago. An older man with well over 30 years of professional experience. You could tell. We decided to channel the heat from the stove out. Stove heat is hard to control, and with a 30 sqm living room, the room overheats very quickly. It must be noted that a LAS chimney is installed.

I don't quite understand why there's so much criticism about the thread starter wanting to contact different providers. Or is it about the fact that the choice of heating technology is somewhat arbitrary, just one point among many?

I just mean in general, setting a rough framework with the most important things and then making inquiries doesn't sound wrong at first, or am I seeing that wrong? Well, how much insight you can gain from it is something you have to see.

, thank you for your words. I haven't been here long and I read more than I write. I am grateful for the help from many and that people make the effort to help everything for free. Especially when you are not familiar with the subject, that is really great for someone like me. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the tone is often very harsh, I often read that in other threads. Unfortunately, there are always people who think they can look down on others. A little more kindness in real life and on the internet would make many things easier. But I do not want to start a fundamental discussion here, it is just how it is. Thanks to everyone for the help, it will now be an air-to-water heat pump, maybe also with geothermal energy, but I still need exact costs for that. We will hopefully contact the providers next week and see what comes of it. However, I will probably upload our floor plan in the right forum here today or tomorrow first and see what comes my way :-) Many greetings Andreas

OK, but that really gives me split ends – renewable resources are being burned just to see a nice flicker and the heat is blown outside because the living room might get too warm,... Late Roman decadence is probably the word here.

And this in a house construction forum. I just have to grin. Building houses in general is not exactly nature conservation.

My teacher always said: First think, then rethink the thought, and then communicate it to others :-)
