You can have a beautiful lawn without any work. The combination of a sprinkler system, for example with pop-up sprinklers, and a robotic mower turns many lawns into golf lawns without much effort. I have an absolutely boring lawn and don’t do anything to it except maintain/clean the robotic mower every few weeks. :D What takes work is the garden border. With a large garden, you also have more boundary areas that you might enclose with hedges and beds. One alternative is to enclose your garden smaller than the property and simply let the rest grow grass. Put a robotic mower on it and it even looks well-kept.

It will take some effort to keep the lawn pure. After a few years, without continuous work, it will turn into a meadow of either daisies or dandelions or or or ... Just no longer a lawn. (Of course, this also depends on what one understands by "lawn.")

I suggest a traditional orchard meadow!

As if someone like me who asks for a low-maintenance garden would care about the varietal purity of the lawn :D

Maybe from now on I should only speak of meadow.

:)

I am not the gardener either and prefer low-maintenance, but when the thistles tried to seize power, I took action. Now every 2 weeks, we check if any thistles are still appearing somewhere and they are dug out. If other weeds get in the way during this, they are also removed. Otherwise, I don’t chase after every weed on the lawn. They are kept small using a lawnmower.

At the beginning it is a bit of work. The weeds should be removed so that the lawn can grow undisturbed. Over the years, clover cannot always be prevented, but as long as the lawn is not mowed to death (cut too short) it will remain beautiful and also withstand the sun. ;)

Hello,

I am happy about your comments.
All in all, I conclude that a large property and recreation do not completely exclude each other and the advantages of a large property outweigh.

Best regards
Chris
