The floor plans strike me as inspired by a Huf Haus, but then translated into "solid".

You really have to read and enjoy this twice: building on a 0% probability out of ignorance before considering the 50/50 rule.

Unless there is an Alpine or Baltic Sea view to the north, clearly open the house to the south.
Garage can be at the bottom right of the plan. Then also the entrance there, shuffle the rooms once and you have full sun in the living area as well as the terrace in the southwest.

Otherwise, the design is nicely tidy. I think too tidy, for example, to the detriment of closet space in the bedroom. The large and symmetrical windows are not pleasing.
I don't like the living area at all. Not even this northwest window side. Why this compulsion for symmetry? It doesn't fit the house and doesn't exist upstairs either. Then you don't have to go all in on the narrow side.
The corridor between garage and house is too narrow at 1.25... we have 2 meters, and I definitely wouldn't recommend less. The garage casts a shadow over the terrace in the evening.
All the secondary rooms are on your chocolate/sunny side... [emoji20]

.......> My suggestion:

Garage east, stairs in the northeast, entrance southeast, etc.
Children's rooms in the southeast/southwest, etc...
Then nothing stands in the way of a sunny garden and sunny terrace in the southwest.

Okay, I had to let that sink in first :-(
But I think I finally understood what you meant. Admittedly, I hadn’t really thought about it anymore because we had defined this point of the garage on the left side of the plan pretty early on.
But let’s play it through:
Let’s assume I would put the garage back on the right side of the plan. Then the sunny side would be free on the left again. Regardless of how the rooms are now, whether just mirrored or mixed up.
- Would I really have that much more sun because the sun is usually quite high in the south and therefore the shadow cast by the house on the left is negligible?
- Does this also apply if the house would shift 3 m to the left again?
Is there any simple freeware program with which you can visualize such a shadow cast from the neighboring house at different times and seasons?

But I also have to ask the other way around. As the plan is now, we wouldn’t have full southern sun. But by the afternoon at the latest, the south-west sun should reach all living areas, right, or am I thinking about this wrong?

In any case, I will take this up again and discuss it with my wife and the architect. So, thank you very much for this hint!

Now also to the other points.
What exactly don’t you like about the bedroom or living area, or what could be improved?

I think the passage width between the garage and the house is a good point. I need to have that checked to see if we can make it wider.

One last thing at the very end: why does the garage shade the terrace in the evening??? Or did you mean in the morning here?

I find the passage width objectively sufficient but visually too narrow (especially when you turn around at the end in front of a significantly wider entrance). It is not possible to make it wider, as the other dimensions do not allow for it.

It seems to me that this property would be happier with a different or differently arranged house. I have the impression: there is a favorite house here, and an attempt is being made to place it on the property. It is better (more practical) to let the property guide you more and to transfer only individual characteristic elements of the favorite house to the "property-inspired" design.

No Lieblinshaus, no Huf Haus floor plan,... Maybe the architect

The 1.25 meters in front of the entrance are too narrow. Just imagine an entrance corridor of that width. It's basically the same outdoors. Guests have to queue, the mail carrier with a large package has to go sideways, even with a laundry basket it gets tight. When a family visits, they also have to stand one behind the other... it will be dark anyway. But you can do without the garage there [emoji6]

Regarding the question: the sun also casts shadows from the garage... just ask Sonnenverlauf Punkt de

I wouldn't place the house further to the left, why should I?
Garage to the right in front of the house, so you can practically drive in [emoji4]

Edit: Space in the bedroom for sufficient wardrobe (3 meters running length)
Living room: Avoid placing the sofa under the window: place the sofa on the interior wall, then you can also look outside. TV opposite, for that the window is removed. Set the west window a bit to 1/3 2/3, that is more pleasing and easier to furnish.
