I also like the floor plan! But you do realize that you are choosing a relatively open concept not only visually but also acoustically? When you sit with guests at the table, laughter, etc. easily carries up to the children's rooms. Have you talked to someone who has lived like this with children? The living area is separated but still connected with all rooms. Here, possibly create the provision for, for example, a glass sliding door. Upstairs, I don't find the access to your private area successful. Play around a bit with the doors and create a truly separate dressing room. Often, you enter the dressing room from the hallway, and from there the doors lead to the bedroom and the bathroom. Is the one room upstairs intended for fitness or what is planned there? I would miss storage rooms in the house, especially on the upper floor.

I like the floor plan, only I would design the kitchen differently. Our kitchen is almost exactly the same and I like the clear and compact... but it’s not big. How about moving the island to the south wall and instead of the pantry making a double row of tall cabinets? By tall cabinets I mean "back to back" so that one row faces the entrance and the other faces the kitchen. In the kitchen row you could also accommodate the fridge and execute the current cooking area completely without tall cabinets (preferably a countertop window instead, because the cooking area feels too cut off from outside/access). This would also simplify the path from the living/terrace area to the kitchen (you wouldn’t have to walk around the dining table anymore).
Additionally, you could consider swapping work and technical areas to separate the work area a bit. I would think it’s really great if you could then also remove the door below the stairs (access to technical room through work area?).
Regarding the elevations: I think those vertical micro windows don’t suit the house at all. They visually elongate the house. This obsession with symmetry and twins only makes it worse. Besides, it’s expensive and technically nonsense (double roller shutters/blinds, and once you consider the frame ratio, there’s very little glass left). Wherever possible I would combine the windows, and otherwise play the asymmetry card.

Oh, I almost forgot because I looked away to save my eyes: are there alternatives to the hip roof? And is anything planned for the possibly existing attic space (storage)?

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, we are very satisfied with the layout inside. We will try to combine the "double windows." Hope that has an effect. In the living room, we actually did not want to install any more windows, as we also need some space for furniture somewhere.

We have already discussed the topic of acoustics as well. Here, we are thinking of doors with soundproofing. The fitness room will also be partially used as a "storage room." And everything that is only used once a year goes to the attic.

For the building mass size, you need a good structure. And for that, a concept. Pushing a few windows together doesn’t help.
