Hello forum,
I would like to present the result of our work with the architect and get feedback.
There will be five of us living in the house. Since we have a large circle of friends and are moving from the city to the countryside and hope that our friends will visit us regularly, we have planned a guest room including a bathroom (shower, toilet). This can later be used as a care room if a parent remains alone and wants to live with us.
A brine heat pump and a water-bearing fireplace (ground floor) are planned as the heating system. Since the house is completely unshaded with one half of the roof fully facing south, we plan to cover the roof half extensively with photovoltaic modules. The house will be so tall that the roof will hardly be visible.
The basement is to be used half commercially with:

    [*]small office
    [*]naturopathic practice including patient toilet

Hence the separate entrance. Alternatively, a holiday apartment could be placed in the basement if a conversion were to take place.
In addition, we have planned the washing machine + dryer in the basement with a laundry chute from the upper floor through the ground floor to the basement.
Now I am curious about your ideas for optimization.

Is the small closet in the master bedroom enough for you?

Why does child 3 have access to the attic while the others do not?

Guest room and bathroom would benefit from wider doors

No longer recognizable.

And real sofas, not doll furniture

Mmh, there's quite a bit of personal taste involved, which I personally can't warm up to at all. For example, I really don't like those children's sleeping cubicles under the roof without standing height. Making the beds becomes a torment. Whoever came up with that idea at some point should, in my opinion, be whipped. At first glance, that might seem "cool" and "cozy". In everyday life, the climbing is just annoying, and when the children get older, the eternal children's bed becomes almost embarrassing.

For five and a half rooms, the upper floor is simply too small. You can see that the bedroom is a joke. There's neither a wardrobe where all the clothes can fit (not to mention bed linen & co) nor can you get to the bed from 2 sides. The wall sleeper has to jump in from below. And that in a new building at that price? The tiny bathroom is also quite cramped, I wouldn't want to have to dry myself there.

While the space in the basement is, in my opinion, generously wasted, it's too tight everywhere on the upper floors. Why do you need 2 large entrance halls downstairs? Get rid of one and use the gained space for the guest room. The current guest room becomes a bedroom and the children all get proper rooms upstairs. It would also be possible to add the guest room to the living area (a relief) and only cancel the children's bathroom on the upper floor. The hallway a bit narrower and normal 4 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Having to walk up a staircase to shower seems less problematic to me than having to climb into bed or not having a wardrobe.
