Yes, sit down again and formulate the wishes/ necessities and requirements for the house. Then let the architect start again with a blank sheet of paper. Olli

Hello Olli,

yes, the bathroom is too small. Do you have any improvement suggestions for the [OG]?

For food, a 60-cabinet is enough, beverages will end up in the basement anyway if you build it. I wouldn't worry about that. Maybe you can accommodate the office or the guest in the basement if a bathroom is planned there anyway? I think matte is somewhat right about the space utilization. Better one room less, but real rooms

Hello,

we have discussed your suggestions again.

We will ask the architect if the garage can be moved one meter forward. Yvonne, is one meter reasonable? Accordingly, the bathroom can then be enlarged by up to 4.5 sqm, is this size reasonable? Or is less enough so that not so much has to be taken from the children's room?

In addition, we will discuss the enlargement of the master bedroom with the architect. Regarding the closet in the master bedroom, we would also prefer it to be three meters long. However, it is not yet quite clear to us where the fireplace should go then.

Yvonne, Manu and others who might have suggestions for the ground floor: What specifically, besides removing the pantry, access to the kitchen from the hallway, door position of the storage room, and possibly sliding doors for terrace access, can still be improved? What specifically does not fit in the layout of the ground floor? It would indeed be an option to move the office to the basement. And what would you do with the room on the ground floor then?

We would also find it great if the windows in the northwest were as large as those in the southwest. This can be achieved if the wall between the living room and (currently) the office runs under the ridge, which reduces the size of the living room. What do you think about that?

Kbt, we will ask the architect about the height of the stair steps.

I can't say: on the one hand, there is no site plan, on the other hand, as already mentioned, I don't have any paper at hand because I am on vacation. Your architect has to take care of that!

I would then use the room on the ground floor as a playroom and/or guest room. This way, you can save a room on the upper floor and instead plan a more spacious bathroom.

In the kitchen, I would definitely skip the pantry if you cook a lot and enjoy it. And position the door to the hallway so that there is at least 70 cm of space on both sides, allowing kitchen cabinets or tall cabinets to be placed there.
