Which toilet do you want to use when you are old? With a walker, the ground floor is already out, too narrow. The TV in front of/next to a west-facing window will always mean that the blind has to be lowered if you want to see anything. Looking against the bright window is also not ideal.

Hello everyone,

I would like to thank you again for the criticism/feedback. We have now made quite a few changes and would also like to hear your opinions and concerns about them.

So what have we changed:
We will keep the division mess between the ground floor and the upper floor, but the children are to have their own area upstairs.
The washing machine/dryer will go into the utility/technical room.
Cooking/dining/living has been enlarged and I think made more homely.
The basement under the garage/carport is gone.
The labyrinth has been untangled.

What do you think of this direction, what has improved in your opinion, what has worsened?

So you can build and live like this - it’s not a dramatic mess, I would say. Except for the staircase in the bathroom. For me, that is a planning error. Is it supposed to be made of wood in a wet area? Aside from that: - 17m² bathroom and no space for a large shower or bathtub. - The living/dining area is functional, but is it also nice like this? Such a cut-off corner may look interesting on paper. When living inside, you almost always run into the corner that jumps out at you. I would strongly recommend a 3D animation here and to walk through it.

What was the reason again why the toilet is separated from the bathroom upstairs? I find it unnecessary.

Well, at least not a big mess, so already a clear improvement from the original draft.

The staircase would be made of concrete, and create a sloping ceiling in the bathroom. A towel dryer could go there and/or toilet preparation for just in case.

The 17m² is large, do you think the bathroom can still be furnished differently? The decision to have only a shower on the ground floor was deliberate.

The toilet upstairs is separated from the bathroom because there may be three children and we find it more comfortable, especially during the morning rush. But it’s not a must.
