If these are concrete beams with embedded stones, then it’s probably due to the stone. They are quite crumbly if you hit them with the little chipping hammer. But it’s not that bad. Stuff from below, a bit of foam, a bit of sealing compound, then the insulation...

What worked well: screw and support a wooden board from below. Pour and compact the screed.

There was about a 5 cm gap between the dormer walls and the outer wall through which air was flowing. I went through about 15 cans (!) there. Now it’s sealed... at least according to an improvised blower door test using a kitchen hood:

The real BD test will come later... -> Really nervous about it. At least this way I could locate many holes. When it’s nice and cold outside, you can nicely feel the airflow with your hand at critical points under negative pressure.

By the windows, do you mean the clinker framing? Hmm, now they are just disappearing under the insulation... we no longer had the passion and time for that. You’d have to stick clinker slips on now and that somehow feels fake ;)

The last weeks I’ve had endless work with the wall heating on the upper floor. Good that we didn’t throw away the old water pipe.... ;)

Fermacell boards are planned and probably a brush plaster above them.

With the holes, it was the same for us; the craftsmen liked to knock in more than necessary. After all, it’s not their house and they don’t have to close it up themselves^^^.
