That's intense We had 100 for the trip and 100 for the day for a mini excavator, the bigger ones are hardly much more expensive I roughly estimate the stones around 1k

If we were to support our terrace with L-bricks, the L-bricks alone would cost €12,000. In our case, however, we are talking about a total of 18m at heights of 1.5m, 2m, and 3m. The rest (setting, filling, etc.) would be 'only' about €2,000 (depending on how fillable our excavated soil would be). That would be the offer from the civil engineer of our general contractor. In conversations with acquaintances, many found that realistic. The €900 for the excavator would then be added for you? I would find that quite expensive! However, we ultimately decided to cellar our terrace.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to build a basement at that spot. The excavator is needed for backfilling. At the same time, the L stones will be placed to support the backfilled terrace. And yes, the 900 will still be added on top. And quite a bit more for backfilling storage material [emoji849]

Well then, my reaction is pretty much the same as yours. We will now only do the necessary with them and then hope that we only need him again.

For 2000€ I got a completely shuttered wall with an L foot, 3m long and connection to the house wall.

- Remove backfill
- Shuttering base
- Shuttering wall
- Backfill again

Bring an excavator for 900€? What nonsense.
If he wants to waterproof the wall normally, then let another provider flange the wall on.
