Semi-detached house in southeast location, bright enough?

For brightness, not only the direct sun but also the size of the windows is relevant. If the house has large window areas, you will have enough brightness in the room. In summer, the direct sun is often blocked by blinds anyway, otherwise the house would become too warm. And as writes, the sun sets earlier in winter anyway.

Our house has a south-south-east orientation, but as a single-family house also large windows facing west. On the (main) terrace, there is no more sun from about 6 p.m. (only at the very edge). In midsummer this is quite pleasant, for spring we still have a small terrace in the north that has full sun from 6 p.m. onwards.

Uh, quick question: Does your house have windows? They ensure that light comes into the place. The orientation is almost irrelevant as long as there are enough windows.
Just show some photos!
Also, you have the option to simply go into the house in the late afternoon. That helps more than all the comments here.

Thank you for the answer. Yes, we have been there several times in the afternoon. However, since it is still in the shell construction phase, it feels a bit gloomy. But with the white paint and better reflection, it will certainly seem friendlier.

We also have orientation to the south and east and in the open space only one window to the west. If the slanting evening sun bothers me while cooking and I lower the [Raffstore], it is still nice and bright. In my opinion, however, this really depends heavily on the size and number of windows. Even the north-facing windows bring a lot of brightness for us. Just upload a photo or floor plan, then it can be better assessed.

Thank you for the response. Attached is the floor plan. Windows marked in yellow. Unfortunately, larger windows or windows facing east are no longer possible.

So almost 8m of window front. More than enough. Take a deep breath and look forward to the house.
