I heard a few weeks ago that a timber merchant near us specializes in renovating Ikea kitchens. Is it true that the countertops of IKEA kitchens are deeper than regular kitchen countertops? That was stated on their website. Maybe they also have the décor you are looking for.

Maybe you can help me as well and give me a tip, as we are currently looking for a kitchen for our new house. I have already heard a lot of good things about IKEA, but now an acquaintance has the problem that his series is being discontinued and he can no longer buy anything for it or buy new ones. Is there an overview of how long kitchen series are kept on the market or is there some kind of expiration date, meaning that each series is only produced for x years? Then it would be best to buy a relatively new series.

Hello, I hope it is not just an advertising post. I'll leave the link here, maybe it is helpful for some, especially after the end of Faktum. Faktum existed for almost 25 years. Whether Metod will last just as long, shorter, or longer, no one can tell you. Developing a new kitchen system takes time and money. Therefore, there certainly won't be a new one anytime soon.

Usually, countertops have a depth of 60 cm. For Faktum they are 62 cm, since the base cabinets are 60 cm deep. For Metod, it's another 1.5 cm more, so 63.5 cm.

Hello My knowledge is that the Numerär oak is still available at Ikea but only as a Personlig worktop. It is therefore a bit more expensive but should still be obtainable. Best regards Section chief
