When thinking of sound insulation, sand-lime brick is certainly good. However, you have to accept ETICS and it costs. Another question, what speaks against brick? It is more expensive than sand-lime brick, but if you think you absolutely need ETICS with sand-lime brick, then maybe there is no price difference anymore?!

My mantra "take the stone the processor knows" and your interpretation "avoid the processor who uses, in your opinion, the wrong stone" are two sides of the same coin

Ouch. Pumice is not aerated concrete.

In my eyes, it is the same nonsense.

The porous materials are not nonsense, but have a justification everywhere where sound insulation is unimportant. We live in a single-family house area on a dead-end street. Why do we need special sound insulation? For that, we don’t have Styrofoam panels on the wall with our artificial pumice Ytong. And still a warm house. For fastening. Standard Fischer dowels work, nothing special is needed. You drill holes with steel drill bits, which cut fine round holes in the soft stone, in which the dowel then sits tight and grips perfectly.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s crap, but it’s not the same. Tofu is not celery schnitzel just because hardcore meat fans despise both.

So, with us, both for KS and for Bims, it is about the same wall construction:
Stieb load-bearing and on top of that ETICS.
Bims is about 2% cheaper...
