+1

We have all tools and garden equipment from Makita and I am satisfied with everything. 1x 6ah, 2x 5ah, 2x 1.5ah and a total of 3 charging slots... I have never run out of power with that.

There are now also many companies that have joined forces for the battery system, making a change outside the brands possible. Thus, cross-brand use is possible: Google for: "AmpShare" "Power for All Alliance" "Cordless Alliance System"

The idea behind the overarching battery systems is good. In the case of CAS (Cordless Alliance System), for example, it is Metabo together with many manufacturers of specialized tools. It is probably the same with the others. One "big" company that has many tools + many "small" ones that offer specialized tools. Unfortunately, for me, this was not a solution because Metabo is above my DIY budget.

Yes exactly, it is essentially once Bosch blue, once Bosch green, and once Metabo. The fact that Bosch is represented in two different universal systems says everything in my opinion. Ultimately, it is also unlikely that several large manufacturers will join such a system. The synergy effect with existing equipment is simply a good sales aid

Has anyone had concrete experience with several brands and can say something about quality differences?

Einhell feels about half as expensive as Bosch & Co.
Makita is suddenly more expensive than Bosch. Stihl definitely becomes too expensive for me.

I already have one battery from Bosch (but only exactly one). However, the Bosch trimmer costs me almost as much as the Einhell WITH battery.
Is the Bosch significantly better quality than Einhell?
My gut feeling leans towards Bosch. But I can't justify it.

As I have already written, I am not impressed with Bosch garden equipment (unlike the regular tools). I have the Bosch grass trimmer and a cordless lawn mower. I once had a scarifier from Einhell (corded), which was a total failure.

My last purchases of Metabo garden equipment were

SGS 18 LTX grass shear/mini hedge trimmer including a free battery for €48.94
SGS 18 LTX Q telescopic rod for the grass shear for €39.60
MS 36-18 LTX BL-40 cordless chainsaw including 1 free battery for €209.03
FSB 36-18 LTX BL 40 brush cutter with blade and line module including 1 free battery for €204.30

All of these devices are worlds apart from my Bosch experiences and I can use the same battery for each device, whereas the Bosch lawn mower has its own 36V battery and my two batteries for it are now also weakening considerably.

Which garden equipment do you specifically have in mind as a requirement? For example, I would choose a lawn mower less by the battery system and more by the specifications and your requirements.
