Lexmaul, we thought similarly at first. But financing 3/4 of the entire household inventory at a furniture store hardly seems feasible to us?! We're not talking about a couch and an armchair, but pretty much everything you have inside four walls.

Is still cheaper with a 0% financing than through the [Immo-Darlehen]. The furniture is financed with a loan anyway. So just take the cheaper one.

My bank did not do that. I had to prove every cent with an invoice. When I once needed cash in hand, it caused huge trouble. So clarify that with the bank beforehand!
Saying all furniture has to be new is also exaggerated – in this case, your wishes are the best guide. What children’s items do you have so far? Did you pick everything up from the trash?
Getting financing for a kitchen is already difficult, but even there you can get attractive offers at the kitchen studio.

Who can read is clearly at an advantage. Earlier it says that we will not buy all the furniture new. Of course, we will clarify that with the bank...that would be really stupid

It's just my personal feeling, I find it somehow strange to have nothing and borrow money for that. For example, I would/will take the existing furniture with me, even if some of it doesn't quite fit and there are too few pieces when moving from a small apartment to a big house. What is missing will then be purchased bit by bit. Preferably all at once and everything nice, but if the money isn't there, at least for me personally, that's just not possible.

: May I ask which bank it was - I don't like this extremely meticulous proof of fund usage and that was a selection criterion of the bank for us.
