so what? then you can easily keep sleeping on your converted Billy shelves

Regarding the whole 0% financing discussion, I abstain. To me, it is and remains a marketing gimmick. You end up paying somewhere, even if it’s the missing discount. In the end, you are so restricted by the providers because you depend on their 0% that you get annoyed.

Here’s a last tip. If you take out the additional €20k construction loan and don’t spend it on furniture, just make a first special repayment.

I fully agree with lexmaul: If I don't have any money, I certainly don't borrow it where I have to pay even more interest, just to "not get confused"! Hello? You are/were students? It should be manageable to pay 2 installments at the same time? Ever heard of a standing order?

Nonsense. I am almost certain that financing through the furniture store is always cheaper than through a bank! Regardless of whether it's 0% or 0.5% or whatever. With the current interest rate policy, it's almost out of the question. Those who have money are rather punished. And the furniture store wants to sell! You can also negotiate and make a counteroffer. The scope is completely different than with the bankers when a loan is already running.
