Problems with Ikea Välgjord dishwasher - cleaning is poor

Dear users, I am looking for experienced Välgjord users here. I have had a Välgjord machine in the equally new kitchen for about 6 months and it is a misery. Everything is fine but the machine is a total failure: Washing wine glasses does not work at all. Apart from the fact that larger glasses barely fit, the glasses are always greasy and never really clean, no matter the setting for water hardness or rinse aid (we tested everything...). When I use tabs, I even have crumb residues in the glasses, which can only be removed by intensive brushing after soaking. The streaks are not only on glasses but also on glazed plates. Additionally, I see that the cutlery drawer repeatedly accumulates dirt on the outside. I already rinse all parts intensively in advance so that the dishes actually get clean in the machine. Especially the streaks on the plates are totally unacceptable if I don’t pre-rinse the dishes. The eco program is particularly bad; here, due to the little water, the items are especially greasy. I tested: Lidl tabs, Somat tabs (various types), Finish tabs, Aldi tabs, currently I use Somat powder, which still works best. I tested tabs with and without salt/rinse aid. Rinse aids from Somat or Finish. Who has experience on how to get the problem under control? I saw that Stiftung Warentest also gives the machine a bad rating, unfortunately too late. I thought this was Ikea’s top model, especially if another manufacturer fits into the new kitchens... Greetings and I look forward to your tips

Was it like that from the beginning? Did you check and clean the spray arms? Otherwise, machines from other manufacturers also fit in Metod kitchens - see various threads here.

thank you for the reply. Yes, unfortunately it has been like that from the beginning. I had read quite a bit beforehand and the trickery with the different hinges and rails to install a Neff or a Bosch/Siemens device was too risky for me. Then I saw that there is also a Miele version, the XXL devices from Miele can accommodate fronts of 80 cm. But since such a machine costs twice as much as the IKEA top model...
We have repeatedly checked and cleaned everything, but the washing results are still poor and there was actually never really anything dirty.
We previously had a Bosch machine and you could put everything in here, also wine glasses and dirty plates at the same time, everything got clean. I have the impression that with the IKEA machine you have to always rinse wine glasses and good plates separately with the "glass program" for them to be clean. If you have something dirtier in between, it just spreads around inside. It is also really bad when washing something that has come into contact with egg. Sure, egg is always problematic, but with the Välgjord, you basically can no longer wash dishes with egg residues. Everything smells after the wash cycle.
What we also noticed: the machine sometimes washes for only 40-60 minutes in automatic mode, even though it shows over 2 hours when starting the program. We have never seen the "program end" indicator light; surely the machine shows a green light and gives no error message, so it must be fine, but with such poor washing results you have your thoughts. Do you or does anyone perhaps have experience with the settings for rinse aid/brand? Or with the water hardness setting? Do you have to use a slightly different setting here?
We are really very disappointed and after considering taking another machine, the disappointment is naturally even greater. Our new fridge will definitely be Bosch or Siemens again, we won't take any risks here anymore. It seems to me that a machine with immature programs was built here due to too much water-saving. There are also no alternative programs; for standard dishes there is only automatic (totally different results from very poor to reasonably good) or eco (unusable for normally soiled dishes). If only there were a "water plus" button like on many Bosch models, I think that would help.
So I can only advise others against the machine. Unless someone still has a secret tip here?

The customer service was already there and couldn't do anything? Then try to return the machine.

VÄLGJORD dishwasher from IKEA
I have had similar experiences with VÄLGJORD.
Bought, among other things, because of the 5-year warranty and the advertising promises about the good quality of IKEA dishwashers.
After half a year, the first errors appeared during wash cycles, dirty dishes, the pump regularly started pumping out even though no wash cycle was activated. In the switched-off state, the dishwasher began to let water flow back (supposedly a side-installed water tank for the ECO program).
After repeated inquiries at IKEA with endless waiting times, I was finally given the contact details of the regional service provider. Contacted and appointment made (1 day off work because no exact time for the technician could be given). Repair attempt, a few weeks later the same symptoms appeared; new appointment: 1 day off work, replacement of further components; 2 months functional, renewed problems, technician ordered, 1 day off work: control unit replaced: 2 days later the same problems again... it went on like this until August this year and now IKEA has taken back the device and promised me a refund of the purchase price within 3 days... I have been waiting for this (despite several calls back to IKEA) since August 14, 2018... Every new call (after 40 minutes of waiting) is answered with the friendly note that the amount will be transferred within three days...

A lot of trouble, many lost vacation days, hardly any use of the dishwasher possible... now finally bought a brand-name device from a local specialty store; it was delivered, connected, packaging material disposed of, and instruction given... now we have a dishwasher that does what you expect from it...

For 200 € more good quality with service we could have already afforded before... now I’m waiting to see if the promised refund of the purchase price will ever come...
