I know many, myself included, who did not want children at that age. If there are no children, there can still be illness (hopefully not) or unemployment.

According to that logic, absolutely no one should take the risk of building. Anything can always happen. My husband and I are the ultra-super-plus versions of security, two civil servants, and still – there would definitely be situations in which it would fail. A house can be sold quickly nowadays; a significant loss is (at least in many regions of Germany) not to be expected.

I am a lady. And have you ever considered that it might also be due to lack of ability?

Regarding questions and personal effort: My questions largely related to the planning of the whole thing, not how I best carry out a particular craft activity with which material and which tool. I was small when my parents did the planning. But not when reroofing the roof, building the carport, etc.

I'm going to bow out now. I wanted experiences and exchange of opinions, which I have received. But I no longer want to put up with this tearing apart in the air, where the tendency is going nowadays.

You don't have to justify yourself here, especially not to HilfeHilfe (whose nature is a dysphemism of his nickname)!

I find that rude, since you do not answer my specific questions and thus offer no resolution of this development to readers following along. Have you done your reading? What information have you absorbed? What is repeatedly discussed in the Massivhaus vs. Fertighaus threads?

You want to make the biggest investment of your life, have taken a helpful step by registering here, but want to run away again after the first bit of resistance? That's a shame.

You imply in your last post that you could even do the roof in EL? Do you think 10 out of 10 prefabricated house providers allow that? I doubt it, or at least I know of one here in town where hardly any EL can be applied.

At least see it as a food for thought before your departure...

No, not just barely enough that a little breeze takes the air out. Just a few months of short-time work allowance and it's over. We have built and financed so that we get by on one salary.

With us, a house must be sold with significant losses and probably similarly in the TE's region. At least with the extremely low land prices.

Where would the property be? We only have "3800€" ourselves (my wife is on parental leave) and are approaching the matter calmly and will only build "121m2" in size. Since we only want to stay with three people, that's simply enough. Buy the property and accumulate equity again so that you at least get the house "inhabited" after construction.
