Position entrance door with side panel

Hello everyone,

I am not quite satisfied with the entrance area in our floor plan yet. Now I have considered removing the window in the cloakroom and instead equipping the door with a side panel of about 50 cm. Should the side panel be better on the left or right of the front door? And would you change the direction in which the door opens?

If a side panel, then on the left and leave the door hinge as is

Note well: if. As planned, it is properly done and in my opinion even looks better.

The window, which faces the garage, bothers me a little.......I fear that hardly any light will come in because the distance to the garage is only 2m.

Pushing it 75 cm closer to the door changes little; but it fits as planned.

Another question, where will the house connections go?
