Poor WiFi in the new building despite fiber optics

Hi. Today, after 6 months, we finally got internet in the new building. I set up the fiber optic connection for the FritzBox 7590 router. For this, I reset the router to factory settings and configured it according to the fiber optic instructions. Then I updated it to the latest version. Somehow the Wi-Fi is not as fast as expected. What could be the reason? The router is located in the utility room (corner of the house on the ground floor) on a cabinet. Our living room is in the opposite corner of the house on the ground floor. There we have 3 out of 4 bars, sometimes fewer. It’s also not particularly fast. In the bathroom upstairs (directly above the utility room), the connection is practically nonexistent. When I go to the hallway upstairs, there are 3 bars available. Shouldn't it actually be stronger everywhere – even without a repeater? The fiber modem and the FritzBox are connected by a network cable that I already had. Does the cable need to be improved? Are there any other tricks? The switch for the LAN sockets is not yet connected. I still need to order and wire it.

That's strange. Since the update with the performance improvement, we have very good WLAN. Same box. Measure what data volumes you achieve.

How is it directly in front of the FRITZ!Box. Otherwise, do a speed test once to see how much is coming through.

These are the data of the Fritzbox.

Internet connection
IPv4: connected since 20.11.2020, 14:57, Telekom, internet access speed (available bitrate): ↓61.8 Mbit/s ↑12.4 Mbit/s
IPv6: connected since 20.11.2020, 14:57, Telekom, internet access speed (available bitrate): ↓61.8 Mbit/s ↑12.4 Mbit/s
Test the internet connection speed?

I will test tomorrow what arrives and try today to switch the phones to the 5 GHz instead of the 2.4 GHz network. That should bring something too, right?

There my VDSL is faster...

But completely sufficient for fast WLAN (and everything else too).

I just wanted to connect to the 5ghz network. But it was even slower than the 2.4ghz. That’s why I didn’t do it. However, despite fiber optic and the latest technology, this can’t be the end of the line.
