Sorry for the late reply - exhausting weekend.

Yes, it is in the Oberpfalz.
Photovoltaic systems are allowed, but no free-standing ones.

and regarding the living-dining area (or the living area in general):
Yes, correct, in my idea this area is on the ground floor and therefore has no direct access to the garden but only via a large terrace and stairs from there.

On the one hand, I like the idea of being able to live there even in old age without having to climb stairs
and on the other hand, being able to access the garden directly from the bedroom(s) while a terrace with an extended cooking/dining area (grill, garden chairs, etc.) from the kitchen/dining area is sufficient.
Is that very unusual thinking, or what speaks so strongly against this idea?

The children could go unnoticed from their rooms to the garden. You also have to climb stairs at an old age to take care of the garden. We also often sit on chairs and a couch on the lawn and not on the terrace. I want to have the greenery around me and find a place in the sun during the transitional period when it is not yet so warm at breakfast.

Many make this logical error: As long as children need to be cared for, direct access to the outside from the children's room is basically taboo. Instead, the care takes place from everyday life, meaning: from the "hearth" outside, entertaining the children, then back to the hearth, child in and out, because a child of caregiving age should not stay alone in the garden. The family is outside in the garden on the lawn or at the raised bed, not on a balcony, then the child has to go to the toilet, so it goes back inside again, meanwhile writing a shopping list, then back outside. Possibly the child alone outside, but supervised from inside, etc. In the evening, the garden is tended, watered, shrubs plucked, quickly swept, everything while dinner is being prepared, etc. My neighbor always did that in the dark, so much later. Even between commercial breaks you still find yourself searching for snails. You also do not want to have to constantly go up and down garden stairs.

At some point, the children have friends. And it also depends on the child. At the end of 4, we let him walk the 200m dirt road from the daycare to home. Once a week. The child is sent off and called upon arrival at the daycare. The children later play in groups anyway and across the properties. Sometimes you only have your own child, sometimes up to 4-5. In the village, it's different anyway, the properties are large.

You make me curious. I live southwest of Neumarkt.

I don't see the children directly in the garden as a problem. What about all the people who only have a ground floor?

They also have the living room there and can tell when the kids go outside. And they are also close by when the kids play outside, as ypg wrote.
