Sure; entirely in the spirit of the fact that the German generally hears what he sees  If you read what you sometimes write with a clear mind, I simply lack the words ... Just my 2 coins

Just because you seem to like installing them doesn't mean you have to get offended right away.

I did say that cheap devices are noisy – and those are often installed by Mr. Dad, and they are loud.

Even if you don't want to believe it, acoustic air pollution is increasing more and more, and those parts are simply among the culprits.

I've already heard devices from, for example, Waterkotte, which were barely audible... so better read with a clear mind and not look for a flaw.

Hello Sebastian,

There are days when I can read your posts and click on to the next thread; then there are days when I just can't manage it. Today is one of those; especially since you are playing into a cliché.

Just for the record – we install both split units and systems that are completely installed indoors. However, I don’t like it when nonsense is written about one system or another; all split units are subject to regulations regarding noise emissions... even supposedly cheap ones.

Then may I assume that, for example, you completely give up your own car? You gladly forbid moped riders from practicing their hobby, ban skateboarding altogether, and simply forgo every barbecue in your future garden? Let’s keep things in perspective!

You can also install an Ochsner instead; then you’ll just have the "noise" inside, instead of outside ;)

My mind is working perfectly today; thanks ;)

Greetings from the Rhineland

I know that the devices are subject to a standard - it’s the same with car noises and yet there are vehicles that are louder from the factory than any tuning exhaust ;)

And those standard measurements for the devices are carried out under laboratory conditions at very specific distances.

If you don’t follow precise guidelines during installation and the system is poorly adjusted, you often have noise problems.

Of course, it’s often subjective too - noise is more frequent ;).

No one here has such a device except one person who actually has it but keeps it in the attic of his garage. Therefore, I’m not affected...

I don’t want to demonize the devices either, but to claim that in winter you have the windows closed and therefore it doesn’t/ hardly bothers anyone already says a lot ;)

There are plenty of reports online and lawsuits over these devices. But of course, typical German problem - you can always come up with that.

It’s always funny how, as a moderator, you just can’t resist personal jabs. But that’s how people know you by now :)

I strongly and urgently urge you to cease discrediting me; to personally belittle me. You have exhausted all your credits in this regard; accordingly, I have no qualms about banning you from the forum for a while.

Rhenish greetings

Oh, so then the club will be brought out? A pity, but then please delete my account - I will not be blackmailed by you.

And I request the deletion of all attachments, the rights to which I own.

I certainly do not need your mercy - and therefore all the best.
