Since the plots are getting smaller rather than bigger, the idea of "putting the outdoor unit somewhere where it doesn't bother anyone" is already quite a thing...

Especially the cheaper units make noise in winter - regardless of whether they comply with standards. At my father's place in the east on the outskirts of Berlin, so many people have installed them in their huts - dreadful.

Before you consult this and other "experts," you should inform yourself about their connections before passing on their opinions.

Before you ask – yes, I have met him personally.

It's clear, but the idea that electricity could be more expensive in winter at some point (could be!) is not entirely far-fetched, right? Not just the few heat pumps, people are more likely in front of the TV than outside, have lights on, use dryers instead of hanging laundry, etc... And if 50 percent or more heat pumps are installed in new buildings and heat pumps are also used in conversions, electricity demand in winter will continue to rise... Electric cars consume more in the cold... This is all rather a very long-term consideration... In summer, households cover the majority themselves through photovoltaics and batteries...

Oh, wind and water don't flow in winter/at night? Wow, I didn't know that...

Of course there is wind and water!? But among other things, unlike summer photovoltaics, this energy is not produced directly where it is needed at all.

Oh, you mean everyone will have their own photovoltaic system later?

Keep dreaming...
