Hello,
since I am moving next week, it has to be quick (and not too expensive), I am currently planning my first Ikea kitchen. Over the past few days, I have already found many helpful tips here in the forum, but now I have a few questions.
1. I have intentionally not started the kitchen unit directly at the high platform, because otherwise you would run straight into the cupboard when entering the door (even though the door opens outwards). I would then extend the platform up to the first cupboard. Is that possible? It would look best if the kitchen were 98cm high, so that the countertop could run onto the platform. Are there suitable feet? Plinth?
2. The sink should be brought to a working height of 1.20m (I am 1.95m tall). Build a platform out of chipboard? Are there 36cm high feet in the kitchen shop? Do you have to build the plinth yourself then?
3. The left cupboard with the fridge should also be that high. Is it possible to suitably shorten a built-in tall cupboard? Does a ventilation grille have to be installed at the back in the countertop then? Alternatively, put the oven here and move the fridge to the right?
Sorry for the long text and many questions, but I would be very happy about some suggestions and tips.
Best regards, Jürgen.
