Hello,

thank you very, very much for the answers!

regarding the wardrobe: in fact, we have planned to move the "main wardrobe" of the family to the utility room. In the hallway, we would only plan a coat rack for guests' jackets and possibly have a closet wardrobe built under the stairs.
We will definitely note your ideas to move the door to the storage room and to have the door to the guest WC open inwards. Good ideas!
We also like your suggestion on the upper floor. My husband has made a few more small changes and we think the floor plan on the upper floor looks quite good this way.
I just hope that a bathtub, a wide sink, a walk-in shower, and a toilet can be accommodated in the bathroom. We will have to think and plan that again.
One could also consider whether the dormer would then be unnecessary. Maybe the side view of the house would also be nicer.

Thank you for your honest words.
So you don't like the side view either, if I understood correctly?
The topic of the orientation of the rooms and the carport was also discussed in the preliminary talks here. If we change the floor plan on the upper floor as shown in the attached picture, we could at least accommodate two children's rooms in the west.
But on the ground floor, we are still of the opinion to keep both the arrangement of the rooms and the carport as they are. We have a really nice view to the east and south, which we do not want to block with the carport.

Oh, I can’t say anything about the development plan and the prescribed style right now. But we really like the old-fashioned style. We cannot imagine a modern city villa or something similar at all.
You are right about the kitchen window! We hadn’t noticed that yet. Noted. We are also considering foregoing the window from the kitchen into the carport.
In the long term, development might take place in the south. But we do not expect this in the next 30 years.

You are not entirely wrong in suspecting that a catalog house was tinkered with. We made the mistake of presenting a catalog house that we like well in the preliminary talks.
Otherwise, I think I have already answered everything above... How do you like the changed floor plan on the upper floor?

To me, the house looks like a boxer against the ropes in two places: the east side on the ground floor like a dislocated jaw, and the south side at the "dormer" like a dislocated nose. An upper floor (here: attic) cannot be repaired, it must first be developed. What kind of catalog house, and in which preliminary discussions: a catalog house from another provider, and in preliminary discussions with an inclusive architect?

Let's put it this way: the window positions obviously make the house look crooked. And yes: I wouldn't want it like that. That isn't mentioned in the initial thread – it would have belonged there to explain the reason for the garage location. If the view to the east is very nice or supposed to be, then I would swap the living room and kitchen and plan a nice panoramic window over the countertop in the kitchen. The living room would then be on the west side by the carport without windows since people usually look south or at the TV anyway.

In the preliminary discussions with the architect, we cited the house 178ks from the company Mittelstädt as an example that we basically like.
However, there aren't really that many similarities.

We were seriously shocked just now. We hadn’t even noticed the crooked windows.
The kitchen and living room could really be swapped. We will think about that, thank you!

It really looks "methodically developed" like a bending of a catalog house by a building permit preparer in the service of a general contractor, not at all like free architectural planning. Well, I’m not hard to find. Seriously, you didn’t realize how much you twisted the aesthetics? It really looks like it once fit and then was changed differently. Basically disfigured on customer orders.

But it is doable to straighten it. Yes, east west and south. The dormer should be positioned centrally.
