The access to the apartment in the basement should be covered from the garage. In the bedroom in the basement, the terrace door will be changed to a window. UG is not barrier-free. In the bedroom, I would plan space for a 2 m wide bed. -> if the bed is placed against the outer wall, a 2 m bed should fit. The grandparents have this specific bed size. Do the grandparents only access the basement via the stairs? -> Access only via the stairs. Otherwise, a direct weatherproof connection between the living units is very practical and should not be overlooked. There are also doors with keys.

Other houses also have 4 bedrooms upstairs. Then downstairs, some space has to be sacrificed for the parents' bedroom and the smaller utility room upstairs.

Furnish the children's rooms as well. Often, two window spots with a sill height are better than one window spot with a floor-to-ceiling window.

How are the bicycles supposed to get to the end of the garage in the 3m wide garage overall, if a car is parked in the garage?
