Storage only with subsidy. That's easily 6-10k € that you'll never get back.
I think, but this is just a gut feeling, that it is slowly developing from a hobby (regarding storage) to a useful and cost-neutral item. But of course, only under certain conditions. For existing systems, a hybrid inverter must be present and for new systems, every kind of subsidy must be taken advantage of....
Because storage is also not as expensive as it was, for example, 3 years ago. I’m getting the BYD high-voltage storage installed at 6.4 kW. With activation (500€) of the hybrid inverter, it’s 5,700€ without subsidy including installation. Online, this thing costs 4k€. In terms of specifications and especially efficiency, this unit is currently supposed to be the best on the market. Whether that’s really the case? No idea, but after some research it at least sounds that way.
For 5,700€ I currently get 16,300 kWh, so from my point of view it’s definitely worth considering.
