Hello everyone,
my brief introduction: after half a year of renovating an old building, I am now finally assembling my Ikea kitchen with third-party appliances. The biggest challenge so far was attaching the wall cabinets to the old building masonry.
The oven in the kitchen is supposed to go into the Metod tall cabinet; I have chosen a NEFF. The question: does the oven go on the included rails, or is there still a base resting on the rails??
And: the tall cabinet is practically freestanding, on the left is the dishwasher, on the right a freestanding 202cm tall refrigerator. Can the tall cabinet stand freely, or should it definitely be fixed to the wall? I have a slight offset in the wall exactly at this spot... - but maybe the oven is heavy enough.
Looking forward to your opinions and information.
