I don't understand the problem here, why is this now about our tax policy views?!

Yes, that would also be an option, we had looked in the Hochtaunuskreis as well as in Upper Franconia, but unfortunately did not find any houses on relevant portals that met our expectations in both locations. Basically, I do find your suggestion quite sensible.

Currently, we occupy 400 m2; the 800 m2 was simply set as a guideline based on similar building projects we had seen from acquaintances abroad, of course, we are also concerned here with the constructive discussion of the building size.

The thread is quite obviously a weak troll attempt

It is not, sorry if it came across that way. Please excuse any potentially politically incorrect statements.

On relevant portals, often only the leftover stock ends up. I would hire luxury agents who specifically search for you. Firstly, there are often nicer plots and locations in the existing stock, and secondly, scarce building land is not "wasted". I find the phrasing about tax optimization quite unfortunate. It is certainly true that everyone looks within the legal framework where they stand. But you could have done without that sentence. It sounds like you have plenty of money but don’t want to give much to the workers. That way, the discussion is also not productive.

Me neither. But I am sure that this will turn into some boredom-corona thread.

Even worse: with that income I would have saved a bit more equity – besides my living expenses. But whatever. What do you want here now? To spice up the nice Sunday a bit with Pinterest houses from England? By the way, a similar little house stands in our town: certainly not 800 sqm.

thank you for your input. Yes, this was perhaps expressed somewhat awkwardly, but you have to say that some users like to take the judging position here, simply reject things, or write out of their own feelings of envy. We just wanted to talk here about building plots etc., what ideas others have, but now we have ended up at the point of political discussion. I find that very unfortunate!
