So, I dug up the thread again, just to say:
WE ARE DONE.

We spent a year and 10 months mostly renovating the house ourselves, a lot of sweat, tears, and a bit of blood and a broken bone later – it’s done. Sure, a few small things are still missing, but we’ll handle those easily on the side.
Would I do it again? Two amateurs, not two left hands, but still little knowledge at the beginning... Yes. But very, very differently and definitely with less (self-imposed) time pressure. For whatever reason, we set ourselves the goal of being finished in seven months (now I can really laugh about that) – absolutely impossible.
At the end of February 2022, we erected our house ourselves, and during that year we were super motivated. We really spent every free minute on the construction site. Everything that could burn the house down or flood it – electrical, heating, plumbing – we had done by professionals. Drywall in the sloping ceilings in the bathroom and in my room as well. Tiles in the bathroom and ground floor (except for the kitchen, which we tiled ourselves and decided that we can’t and don’t want to do that). Everything else we did ourselves. Then February 2023 brought Covid for the first time and it totally knocked us out. Our pug construction manager Lotta also passed away in March, and the grief was very heavy.
Additionally, in March and April, there was a lot of stress with handing over my apartment. From May to the end of August, we basically did nothing in the house, the air was out. But from the end of August until the end of December, we gave it our all again.
We are super happy and contrary to some opinions here in the forum, life in our little house is really, really wonderful. Thanks for the support and kind words here from the forum and less thanks to the people who like to generalize a lot here and project their own views onto others.
Remember, personal taste varies, even if you don’t like it yourself – no reason to behave badly.
A few small glimpses inside the house, almost all with wide-angle because the house is small:

On the side, we have also already created many wonderful things in our garden. Seeds, beds, wild hedges, beetle cellar, reptile castle, deadwood hedge, water modules, and much more. We have a natural garden according to the Hortus concept, and since this year also with awards from Nabu for a bat-friendly garden, and we have been able to observe an incredible number of animals.

I will mostly be less active in the forum and wish you all the best.
