Ever heard of plastic welding? Experts do not know of any case where a plastic cistern has become leaky without external influence. Concrete cisterns, yes. My mother's had to be "renovated" after 11 years. But it's an 80m3 cast on site. There is a reason why plastic is more commonly used in industry and large buildings. The issue of use for washing machines, toilets, etc. is more ideological than economical.

The topic of use for washing machine, toilet, etc. is also more ideological than economical. [/QUOTE] If I already have a large cistern to save water fees, I can also invest another 2k to use the cistern water properly. But that's just my personal opinion.

7000 liters is not much. With 2k you can operate the toilet and washing machine for a long time. Water from the cistern has a higher NTU (turbidity) despite the filter. So possibly also a shorter lifespan of the washing machine... As said, it is legitimate to do it. With a TCO analysis, however, it is not economical. A single-family house is not either.

Ask at the local concrete plant once. You don't haul something like that across half the country ...

: you're seriously coming around with a TCO analysis? ;)

Please really understand this with an ironic wink! I appreciate your posts and your presence!

Graf, I believe, offers a 30-year warranty; anyone who has seen the wall thickness knows that at least with their products, even with plastic, little can happen. But generally, look at what is needed (groundwater) and then I agree with : see what is regionally available and what the deep foundation engineer knows!

That's quite a sturdy thing, well above average... According to the website, the submarine costs 28,000 euros, and the installation will also be added. Do you have such a large garden that it pays off in the long run? Do you fill the cistern only via the gutter or also with a groundwater pump?
