Good morning everyone,

after being a silent reader for a long time, now the step into activity :)
We (family of 4) are currently planning our new build (city villa), but we are not quite satisfied with the bathroom layout yet.
We would like to move the bottom wall further up because we don't want the bathroom to be unnecessarily large.
Of course, we have already racked our brains. Below is a draft from the architect.
The windows can be ignored for now.

Requirements:
- walk-in shower
- bathtub 190x90
- laundry chute (utility room is directly below)

Maybe the forum has the brilliant idea for us. We would be very happy.

Are the windows fixed already?
Why have a shaft if the path via the stairs is very short?
Actually, it is enough to throw the laundry through the stairwell.

The windows are not fixed yet. The consideration is even to completely remove the narrow window on the right wall. Above is only field, so we would definitely like to have a window there. The objection about the short hallway is not unfounded. The better half has already grown very fond of the [WS]...

Off the top of my head, I would consider building a wall across the bottom of the bathtub, which then provides a nice shelf next to the tub. Then, depending on taste, the toilet or the shower would be in the upper right.

Could the OP first say what bothers him about the architect's draft apart from the wall shift?

It is actually only this drawback. We would simply like to compress the bathroom and give the gained space to the room at the bottom of the plan (bedroom).
